11 Lakh Job Vacancies to be Created Under PM Modi 2.0 Plan

Ayushman Bharat, the health insurance scheme, marks a revolutionary step towards the making of a new India. As per the estimation, with the onset of this scheme, 11 lakh jobs will be created in next five to seven years. This scheme was built and applied to have a better healthcare infrastructure in the country. The Ayushman Bharat was rolled out on 23rd September 2018. This has also been known as Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). It provides healthcare facilities to the economically vulnerable Indians. However, until now, this scheme has already pulled out 46 lakh people out of the “darkness of disease” as the scheme turned out to be a victory for poor by providing numerous healthcare facilities thus helping in eradicating diseases. Under this scheme, till now 18 thousand hospitals have been enlisted and approximately 4 lakh beneficiaries have been admitted. The citizens falling under this scheme will be issued an e-card that can be used to avail medical services in any private and government hospitals across the country. The enrolled people will get cashless treatment. Also, the scheme provides a coverage of Rs. 5 lakh per family, per year to the economically disadvantaged people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “this step would make India the second largest employment sector after the railways” as it will help in creating 11 lakh jobs in the next few years. He, with the team of his ministers, analyzed the job positions in numerous areas of the Central government and other ministries. Then the officials concluded that 75,000 job posts are still lying vacant. The government will soon start the assessment process for the vacancies with the Staff Selection Commission(SSC).

According to PM Modi, “Ayushman Bharat will play an important role in saving the life of the poor citizens of the country, but, will also act as a symbol of strength and determination of 130 crore people of India.”

PM Modi tweeted that the first year of Ayushman Bharat has been all about resolve, dedication, and learning. He once said, “No one wants to travel from one state to another to get better treatment. The citizens should get good medical facilities in their state – that is the government’s motto–healthcare facilities to be given to all citizens.” With this motto, the scheme would create more job openings shortly. PMJAY is a solution to make India a more healthy as well as an employed country to live in.

PM Narendra Modi also announced the government’s PMJAY plan to launch a startup challenge soon. The campaign invites all youth and entrepreneurs of India to join the scheme. This startup will give new opportunities to deserving youth to foster further innovations in the healthcare sector.

Narendra Modi, after becoming the prime minister for the second time, calls India’s new economy as the home for new opportunities for the young entrepreneurs.

An analysis conducted by World Data Lab suggests that the number of people below the poverty line in India is now less than five crores. The people of the country should participate in certain economic activities to make sure they contribute to the GDP.

As per the reports presented,

  • 11 lakh new jobs would be added in the transport sector as there is an increase in the production rate of new commercial vehicles.
  • Lakhs of employment opportunities would be created for the youth in the manufacturing and investment sector.
  • According to KPMG, the travel and tourism sector grew at 16% per annum and would be adding thousands of jobs every year.
  • More jobs and vacancies would open in the government sector in numerous infrastructure projects like roads, railways, and power plants.
  • India has emerged as one of the top hubs for startups, and there is a bunch of mobile apps created across sectors like food, logistics, consumables, retail, etc. The increase in startups has propelled job creation for many.

Therefore, it is evident that the tenure of the Modi government has seen the proliferation of several fresh avenues to engage human capital on a sustainable basis.

The recruitment industry has also seen many startups emerging these days. These new emerging companies aim to bridge the gap between the recruiters and the candidates. One such company is Vasitum.

Vasitum offers its users an intelligent platform that leverages AI and ML to automate and streamline the recruitment life cycle, which in turn, reduces the overall time to hire.
